A significant share of hatching eggs was imported to Azerbaijan from abroad, in connection with which there is currently an urgent need to discuss ways to resolve the issue of import substitution.

In light of the current situation, five public and private enterprises representing Azerbaijan and Israel, with experience in the fields of finance, agriculture, construction, agro-technology and R&D, have agreed to establish a joint venture called Azerbaijan Company for Poultry Development, which will produce high-quality hatching eggs and act as a leading local producer.
